Audrey 100

There is a new Audrey Hepburn book out! I can't wait to get it.

It's kinda funny. Every birthday or Christmas, someone would give me an Audrey Hepburn book or DVD.

I have multiples of some Audrey Hepburn books and DVDs. There is this particular collection that I've received four times! I appreciate them all though and they are thumbed and read through many times.

I feel a little embarrassed whenever people come over and notice my huge collection of Audrey Hepburn books. They probably think I'm a nutcase. I don't know why they don't notice my many Jane Austen, Chanel, Valentino and Vogue books.

But I love them! Keep them coming.

Yes, I'm her number one fan.

I love her for many reasons. (Are you sure you want to hear this?)

Okay I'll keep it short. She first caught my heart when I was a little girl, when My Fair Lady was my most favourite movie. I didn't know her name was Audrey Hepburn then. Later on, she caught my attention and blew me away with her soulful vulnerable performance of "Moon River" in Breakfast at Tiffany's which is very personal to me (which I won't go into that) and then she caught my eye as the most timelessly beautiful woman on the planet.

Oh, there's something about a similar frame body wise as well and a common love for ballet.

I think what made me fall in love with her the most is her soul. If you read further into what she was like, (if you are anything as obsessed as me), you'll discover that she has the most refined spirit. I love her values, what she stood for, her discipline and attitude to life, and her devotion to her family...

Despite the limelight, she was not a socialite or an attention hoarder like ...

She enjoyed and appreciated fine things, yet she was not materialistic at all...a rarity in the modern woman!

She was not perfect and was far from secure, and that's what makes me love her the most!

Alright enough for now. :)

I wonder if Audrey 100 is out in Singapore bookstores?
